Lucy Joan Reed Barber, 66, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Charles Michael Barber entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 29, 2012. Her funeral services will be held Thursday, October 4, 2012 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL at 5:00 pm. Interment, private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Joan was born October 8, 1945 in Loogootee, Indiana, the daughter of Eula Noland Wheeler. She was a member of Wexford Sound Garden Club and Cooking Club. She attended Church of the Nativity Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband: Charles Michael Barber of Charleston, SC; her mother, Eula Noland Wheeler of Shrevport, LA; her son: Jonathan James Moore (Tawnya) of Jackson, TN, two sisters, Julie Robinette (Frank) of Shrevport, LA and Linda Wilson (Larry) of Pocatello, ID; two brothers: Dan Wheeler of Greenfield, IN and Tom Wheeler of Shelbyville, IN; three grandchildren: Jonathan James Moore, Jr., Abigail Moore and Dillon Tull, all of Jackson, TN; her friend: Jackie Proveaux. She was predeceased by one son, Todd Aaron Moore.
