Lucita Bautista Erese, 79, of Goose Creek, SC, wife of Cesar Vergara Erese died Wednesday, January 30, 2019. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Monday, February 4, 2019, in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue at 10:00 am. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 3, 2019 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Rd, from 5:00 pm to 7 pm, with a Vigil Service at 6:00 pm.
Lucita was born in Baguio, Philippines, daughter of the late Antonio Bautista and Flaviana Severo Bautista. She was the owner of Erese Oriental Food Store. Lucita was a former member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a long-time small business owner who enjoyed making and selling lumpia and connecting with the community through her customers. She was straightforward, yet kind and had an infectious laugh. She enjoyed simple living, music, line dancing and spending time with friends and family while attending local Filipino American Association events.
Lucita is survived by her husband, Cesar Vergara Erese; two sons, Dennis Bautista Erese of Goose Creek, SC, Ronald Bautista and wife Lalaine Erese of Los Angeles, CA; grandchild, Eric Erese; and two sisters, Milagros Monsod of New Jersey and Remedios Sturtevant of Goose Creek, SC.
