Lucille "Sue" Adams Dorn
July 16, 1923 — December 9, 2011
Entered into eternal rest on the evening of December 19, 2011, Lucille Adams "Sue" Dorn, widow of Peter D. "Pappy" Dorn, Sr. Residence, Charleston, SC. A private graveside service will be held Wednesday in Christ-St. Paul's Episcopal Churchyard, Meggett. The family will receive friends Wednesday between 4:00 and 7:00 PM at the home of Pete and Susan Dorn, 4574 Olde Smoak House Road, Meggett 29449.
Mrs. Dorn was born July 16, 1923, in Charleston, SC, the daughter of James Herbert Adams and Ella Elizabeth Parker Adams. She was a graduate of St. Paul's High School and a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a retired bookkeeper.
She is survived by her three sons: Peter D. Dorn (Susan) of Meggett, SC, James W. Dorn of Charleston, SC, and David C. Dorn (Vicki) of Hartsville, SC; six grandchildren: Chanse Dorn of Meggett, SC, Caroline Dorn of Greenville, SC, Daniel Dorn of Charleston, SC, Ashley Wood of Charleston, SC, Drayton Dorn of Hartsville, SC, and Kerry Dorn of Charleston, SC; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her grandson, David Dorn.
A special thanks to the staff at Odyssey Hospice and the Magnolia Wing of Sandpiper Rehab and Nursing, especially Barbara White for their loving care.
