Loyd Thomas McCracken

Loyd Thomas McCracken, 81, of James Island, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, September 13, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held cryptside Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Loyd was born September 9, 1940 in Marion, South Carolina, son of the late Boyd McCracken and Nellie Logan McCracken. He was the owner of McCracken Landscaping.

Loyd is survived by his two sons: William Thomas McCracken (Denise) and Eddie B. McCracken (Chelle) both of James Island, SC; five grandchildren: Tiffany McDowell (Sam), Ryan McCracken (Beth), Chandler McCracken, Noah McCracken and Carolina McCracken; two great-grandchildren: Rylie McCracken and Easton McCracken; sister, Juanita M. Canty of North Charleston, SC; two brothers: Bruce McCracken of James Island, SC and Alpha McCracken of Johns Island, SC; and his significant other, DeLane Wilson.
