Louise Rhett Perry

Louise Rhett Perry, 93, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Riddell Thompson Perry entered into life eternal Friday, August 20, 2021. Her private Graveside Service will be held Saturday, August 28th in St. Philip's Churchyard, 142 Church Street followed by a visitation and reception for friends and family at Christ Church Anglican, 2304 Highway 17 North, Mount Pleasant at 12:30 PM. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Louise was born July 7, 1928 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Wythe Munford Rhett, MD and the late Louise Richards Rhett. She graduated from Ashley Hall and the University of Alabama where she was a member of the Tri Delta sorority. She worked at The Flower Garden on Tradd Street and at the Children's Shop, 82 Church Street. Louise was a member of Christ Church Anglican and was a member of many local organizations including: The National Society Of The Colonial Dames Of America In The State Of South Carolina, The Ladies Benevolent Society, The Fuel Society, and was a founding member of the Carolina Assembly.

Louise loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and she had an unwavering faith that she joyfully shared with her family and those she met along life's path. A true Southern lady, proper, smart, and strong, she was an incredible woman who cherished her family with her whole heart.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhett Perry Crisler (Stewart) of Mount Pleasant, SC; son, Riddell Thompson Perry, Jr. (Lynn) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister, Nancy Rhett Wilson of Mount Pleasant, SC; six grandchildren, Stewart Crile Crisler, Jr. (Julie), Matthew Calbraith Crisler, Wythe Rhett Crisler (Lisa), Ann Taylor (Sean), Christine Paulling (Brock), Emily Rhett Perry; four great-grandchildren, Wesley Crile Crisler, Cameron Scott Crisler, Greyson Thomas Taylor, Penelope Rae Paulling; and several nephews and a niece. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, John Caldwell Wilson.

Louise's family would like to thank the caregivers from Sweetgrass Village, Sweetgrass Court (now the Oaks of Mount Pleasant), Amedisys Home Health, and Amedisys Hospice for the loving care given to her each day assuring her well-being and comfort as she aged.
