Louise duPont Crowninshield Pringle

June 13, 1957 — June 14, 2021

The earthly life of Louise duPont Crowninshield Pringle came full circle when she entered into eternal rest at her home on Monday, June 14, 2021, one day after her 64th birthday. It was a fitting departure, as she was also born at home.

"Glamorous" was the adjective used to describe her in a local magazine, but she was so much more than that. Her tell-it-like-it-is nature tempered with extreme generosity was a defining characteristic.

As a lifelong member of the Cathedral of the John the Baptist, and a daily attendee of Mass, her strong faith was the guiding force throughout her life. Louise's courage, strength and independence are an inspiration to many and will carry on her memory.

Louise is survived by her niece, Andrea "Andi" Lazar; two nephews: Nikolai and Derek Lazar; three sisters: Mary Lazar, Agnes Fowler and Amelia Pringle; a brother, McColl Pringle, Jr.; seven grand- nieces and nephews, as well as a strong community of friends.

Louise was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Clay Pringle, her father, McColl Pringle, siblings Ernest Henry Pringle, IV and Margaretta McEvoy Pringle.

Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 18, 2021, in the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Thursday in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun St., from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in memoriam to the African Education Outreach, P.O. Box 1066, Ladson, SC 29456-1066:
