Louise Myrtle Sweat Coburn, 101, of Charleston, SC, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Her graveside funeral service will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.
Louise was born July 12, 1913 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Curtis Alonzo Sweat and the late Ellen Elizabeth Bell Sweat. She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Linda Rourk and Dianne Louise Boersma both of Goose Creek, SC; two grandchildren, James Alan Boersma (Alyson) of Fort Polk, LA, Linda Renee Zauner (Robert) of Goose Creek, SC; two great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Jacob Boersma of Fort Polk, LA; and many nieces and nephews including, Frank Gordon of Charleston, SC and Ralph McGee (Mardi) of Tampa, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur David Coburn; brothers: Henry Sweat, Leroy Sweat and Harold Sweat; and sisters, Hazel McGee and Dorothy Gordon.
