Louisa Ellsworth Lee

January 6, 1925 — March 8, 2013

Louisa Ellsworth Lee, 88, of Charleston, SC, widow of Ray Osborne Lee, Sr. entered into eternal rest Friday, March 8, 2013. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Louisa was born January 6, 1925 in Charleston, South Carolina, one of three daughters of the late Isaac Stockton Keith Ellsworth III and the late Katherine Power Ellsworth. She was a member and former lay Reader of First Church of Christ, Scientist. Louisa was the former owner of Lu-Ann Modeling School and Agency and was the first female employee of WCIV Channel 2.

She is survived by three sons, Ray O. Lee Jr. (Elizabeth) of Charleston, J. Keith Lee (Kathy) of Spartanburg, SC and Gary E. Lee (Buffie) of Charleston; two sisters, Agnes Limehouse of Charleston and Rose Dukes of St. Louis, MO; and grandchildren, Ray O. Lee III, Elizabeth Freeland, Jeffrey Lee, Lora Lee Dodgion, Franklin Lee and Lex Lee.
