Louis "Lou" Edward Ebel, 91, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Christine DiSalvo Ebel entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 17, 2017. His Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 5:00 p.m.

Lou was born September 1, 1925 in Albany, New York, son of the late Edward T. Ebel and Myrtle Miller Ebel. He attended New York University, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Lou retired from Dun and Bradstreet after 38 years of service as the NY District Reporting Manager. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and cruising.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Christine D. Ebel of Charleston, SC; his children, Nancy Armstrong of Summerville, SC, Jeanette Ferranti (Richard) of Rockaway Township, NJ; Edward Ebel (Joyce) of Saddlebrook, NJ; three grandsons, Michael, Kristopher, and Edward. Lou was predeceased by his first wife, Jean.
