Louis Henry "Hank" Lane, Jr., 66, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of Mitzie "Janice" Orvin Lane entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 16, 2016. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 21, 2016 in Coastal Community Church, 460 Arlington Drive at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Hank was born June 16, 1950 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Louis Henry Lane, Sr., and Margaret Ontko Lane. He was a graduate of James Island High School where he was a standout athlete and attended Trident Technical College. Hank was associated with Banks Construction Company for 30 years and was the Owner of International Lazer Levelling Consulting, LLC. He was 40 year Charter member of The Salt Water Sports Club, member of the Tri County Sports Club, and attended Coastal Community Church.
Hank loved boating and spending time outdoors with his beloved wife, family and his friends. Everyone knew him, no one was ever a stranger to him, he was the person you could call no matter what time it was or what you needed he was always there for you.
He was extremely proud of his daughter Misty and his grandchildren, he especially loved his new role of "Pappy". The precious memories that he created with his grandchildren brought him so much joy. He always had a smile on his face when he watched his grandchildren play T-ball, Karate, Dance and football.
Hank was a loving and dedicated husband, doting father and a proud Pappy. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janice Lane of Johns Island, SC; daughter, Misty LeAnn Lane Pinckney (Jesse) of Hollywood, SC; sister, Cathy Lane Ollek of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Jesse Lane Pinckney and Caroline Grace Pinckney.
