Louie Dean Wilson, 83, of Charleston, SC husband of Nadine Bunch Wilson entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 12, 2022. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson are invited to attend his funeral service, Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm, in the J. Henry Stuhr Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Interment with military honors will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.
Louie was born January 4, 1939 in Charleston, SC, the son of the late Sebron C. Wilson and Arlean Bazzle Wilson. Louie attended local schools and worked from his teens to retirement for Engel Brothers Furniture Company. He proudly served for six years in the SC National Guard. He loved classic Country music, especially Merle Haggard. He was a talented guitar player and enjoyed singing, too. Louie's nickname was "Gator" to many. He was loved and cherished by his nieces and nephews and many friends. He believed in going the extra mile to help whomever was in need. He will truly be missed by those who knew and cared for him.
Louie is survived by his wife of 64 years, two sisters, Ruby E. Pennington and Ruth M. Hawk, a brother Carroll W. Wilson (Carol) all of Charleston, SC and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy.
Memorials may be made in his name to a charity of one's choice.
