Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of February 24, 2012, Lorrayne Brittain Atchley, widow of F. Ted Atchley, Sr. Residence, James Island, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services, Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 11 a.m., at the graveside in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Lorrayne was born on October 18, 1923 in High Point, NC, the daughter of B.I. Brittain and Maude Lancaster Brittain. She served in the U.S. Marines during World War II and was an Artist. She was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church and a member of the Charleston Artist Guild.

She is survived by two sons: F. Ted Atchley, Jr. (Rebecca) of Summerville, SC and Allen E. Atchley Sr. of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Daniel P. Atchley.
