Loretta Mae Sinclair, 86, of Daniel Island, South Carolina, widow of John Ewing Sinclair, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016. A Celebration of her Life will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the Church of The Holy Cross - Daniel Island, 299 Seven Farms Drive, at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Loretta was born November 9, 1929 in Gray, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Orlo H. Witt and the late Sadie Elizabeth Zeigler Witt. She worked as a registered nurse. Loretta was a member of The Church of the Holy Cross of Daniel Island. She was very involved in the church and enjoyed reading, singing, cooking, knitting and spending time with family and friends. She was an inspiration to many for her strong faith and wisdom.

She is survived by three daughters, Debra Saxman of Charlotte, NC, Kari Shannon of Charlotte, NC, Nichole Orvin of Daniel Island, SC; one son, Scott Turner of Onarga, IL; a step-son, Clark Sinclair of Bluffton, SC; as well as ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
