Loretta Backus Royall

Loretta Backus Royall, 62, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Jeffrey Boles Royall entered into eternal rest, May 14, 2022. Her graveside service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022, in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Dr., at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Lori was born August 30, 1959 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Phillip Edward Backus and Ethel Jean Swain Backus. Lori had a long career as a surgical nurse. 

She is survived by her son, William Jackson Pennington, IV (Christine) of Batesville, AR; her daughter, Megan Royall (David Leblanc) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and her grandchildren, Brielle Leblanc, Bryson Leblanc, Denver Pennington, and Lynleigh Pennington.
