Loretta "Rita" Zemp Lannutti

Loretta "Rita" Zemp Lannutti, 66, wife of Joseph Lannutti of Charleston, SC passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012. The relatives and friends of Rita Lannutti are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the chapel on Monday, June 18, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

Rita was born on October 6, 1945 in Camden, SC, daughter of the late Sidney Capers Zemp, Jr. and Sarah Brunson Zemp. A graduate of Camden High School, she was a volunteer and a substitute teacher at Stono Park Elementary School and worked as an Administrative Assistant at St. Andrews Elementary and Middleton High in the Charleston County School System. Through her 20 years of service as both a volunteer and employee she was awarded a Certificate of Life Membership to the SC Congress of Parents and Teachers, Inc. She was of the Methodist faith.

Rita is survived by her husband of 42 years; her children, Joseph Michael Lannutti, Jr. and his wife Holly of Downingtown, PA; Lisa Bertram and her husband Mark of Camden, SC; Linda Greenwood and her husband Richard of Jacksonville, FL; and Diane Mauney and her husband Steve of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her brothers, Sidney C. Zemp III of Hartsville, SC, and Robert Zemp of Richmond, VA; and three grandchildren, David Samuel Epps III, Taylor Elizabeth Epps, and Clara Elaine Lannutti.
