Loretta Gail McKinley, 77, of North Charleston, South Carolina, Carolina, entered entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 5, 2022.  Her services will be private. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Loretta was born December 1,1944 in Loudon, Tennessee, daughter of the late Grady Parton and Margie Tuck.  She was a Veteran of the Air Force and later Air Force Reserves and was employed through the Civil Service for 30+ years.  Loretta was very artistic and could do any type of art project that she had in her mind.  Whether it was painting, drawing, sewing and making curtains - everything she put her mind to, she accomplished.  She loved to play cards, do word games, puzzles and exercise her mind.  She loved her fur baby, "Bud" and was a loving mother and grandmother.  Loretta had a tremendous green thumb and could make just about any plant or flower thrive.  She was a very strong woman who came from little, yet made so much for herself and her girls. She will be sorely missed by her friends and loving family.

She is survived by two daughters; Julie Free of Goose Creek, SC and Patti Newman of Summerville, SC; one granddaughter, Caiti Newman of Sumter, SC; two sisters; Wanda "Tootsie" Hudson (Lewis) and Donna Hamil (Ricky).

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Keddrick R. "Mack" McKinley; three brothers, Denny, David and Fred; one sister, Liz.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406.
