Loretta Marie Braxton

Loretta Marie Braxton, 73, of Ravenel, SC, wife of Dillard Allen Braxton entered into eternal rest Friday, December 26, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in Sauldam Baptist Church, 5945 County Line Road at 3:00 pm where the family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until time of service. Interment following will be in Sauldam Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn MCConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC.

Loretta was born July 3, 1941 in Henderson, North Carolina, daughter of the late Annie Bell West She was a homemaker, an active member of Sauldam Baptist Church and director of the ABC's.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dillard Allen Braxton of Ravenel, SC; three sons, Randall A. Braxton (Mary) of Meggett, SC, Richard A. Braxton (Brenda) of Ravenel, SC, Raymond A. Braxton (Heather) of Saco, ME; one sister, Hazel Edwards Hogan of Martinez, GA; five brothers, William T. Edwards of Durham, NC, Ralph T. Edwards of Crofton, MD, Eugene Stanton of Charleston, SC, Jerry A. Stanton of Franklinton, NC, and Willie Stanton of Kitrell, NC; eight grandchildren, Owen Braxton, Jennifer Braxton, Aaron Braxton, Emily Braxton, Miranda Braxton, Randall Braxton, Jr., Gwendlyn Braxton, and Russell Braxton; three great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by a son, Robert A. Braxton.
