Lois J. Lloyd

Lois J. Lloyd, 78, of Goose Creek, SC, widow of Leonard Curtis Lloyd, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 in a hospital in Sevierville, TN.

Born November 13, 1933 in Turbeville, SC; she was one of five children of William Eli Jones and Ollie Mae Watts Jones. She was a former seamstress for Levi Strauss Company. She was a devout Christian woman and an outstanding member of Crowfield Baptist Church. She was a caregiver, homemaker, and a volunteer at the Senior Center in her community. Lois enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking with her family and relished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lloyd is survived by her son, Barry Lloyd and his wife Pam of Harleyville, SC; grandchildren: Crystal and Lawrence Nettles and their children, Gabrielle and Landon, Ashley and Hector Umbert and their son Michael and Brittany Lloyd and Steven Pingolt all of Goose Creek, SC; brother, Horace Devaughn Jones and his wife Minerva of Manning, SC; and sister, Betty Lloyd and her husband Jack of Mebane, NC. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Lynn Lloyd; son, Brian Keith Lloyd; brothers, Billy and Jimmy Jones.

The funeral service will be held at Crowfield Baptist Church, Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment, Whispering Pines Cemetery. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road Wednesday, June 27, 2012 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.
