Lois Arline Morris Campbell, 95, of Summerville, South Carolina, widow of Captain William Thomas Campbell, Jr. (Ret. Charleston Fire Department) entered into eternal rest Monday, September 6, 2021. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel at 10:00a.m. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday in the Downtown Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where social distancing and masks will be required.
Lois was born November 25, 1925 in Awendaw, South Carolina, daughter of the late Walter Calhoun Morris and Alma Brown Morris. Lois is survived by her four daughters: Bertie Callueng Gaskins (Howard) of Hanahan, SC, Carlene Campbell Norris of Ladson, SC, Diane Campbell Knight of Summerville, SC and Carolyn McDowell of Hanahan, SC; 11 grandchildren: Kelly Woodell, Jamey Benton, TJ Jeffreys, Joshua Rumph, Julie Larios, Kalynn Sandoval, Meggie Campbell, Debbie Carrier, David McClammy and Judy Andress; 20 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend "Heartfelt" thanks for the loving care Mrs. Campbell received from Amedysis Hospice Care of Charleston.
She was predeceased by three sons: Alton Mixon, William Campbell III and Ronald Campbell; a granddaughter, Sheila Hinson; and four siblings: Wallace Morris, Estelle Nix, Harold Morris and Betty Morris.
