Lisa Catt Heydinger, 57, of Summerville, South Carolina, wife of Michael Romon Heydinger entered into eternal rest Tuesday, November 7, 2017. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 12, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 13, 2017 in Lutheran Church of The Redeemer, 714 Riverdale Drive at 11:00 a.m.
Lisa was born on May 22, 1960, in Columbia, SC, the daughter of Lila Corley Catt and the late George Michael Catt. She attended Lexington public schools, attended Furman University and graduated magna cum laude in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. In 1985, she graduated from Duke University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree, and became a member of the South Carolina Bar Association. After practicing law for 15 years, Lisa went to work for the United States Postal Service. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Charleston, South Carolina.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Lila Catt of West Columbia, SC; her husband Mike, son George and daughter Lucy all of Summerville; her sister Connie Bucknam and brother-in-law Herbert of West Columbia, SC; her brother Mike and sister-in-law Susan of Lexington, SC; many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Lisa requested that in lieu of floral tributes, memorials be made to Tricounty Family Ministries, 2105 Cosgrove Ave, North Charleston, SC 29405 or Eunoia Animal Rescue, 2065 Marsh Flower Lane, Charleston, SC 29414-6435.
