Lisa Marie Bedson, 69, of Summerville, South Carolina, wife of Chris Scott Bedson, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 12, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Lisa was born on January 14, 1957, in Buffalo, New York, daughter of Margaret Mary Miller and the late Cyril Raymond Pfohl.

Lisa was born with a servant's heart, and she served everyone she could. Selfless and a peacemaker, she put others' needs before her own, showing her enduring love for friends and family through her passions for cooking and entertaining. She was the oldest of six children and the only girl, playing an important role as the glue that held the Pfohl family together. Often the mediator and sometimes the judge, she was loved by all her brothers and was the center of their affection.

She joined the Bedson family in 1997 when she married her best friend and life partner, Chris Bedson. Their love story began when Chris came to give Lisa an estimate for a laundry room floor. What started as a small flooring project blossomed into a lifelong love that set the bar for servant love. Chris and Lisa served each other in all aspects of life. Together, they helped transform his small flooring business into a premier kitchen and bath remodeling company in the Lowcountry, a business that has served the area for over 38 years.

Lisa was active in her faith from childhood. Raised Catholic, she later attended and served at Old Fort Baptist Church, lovingly adopting the title "Batholic." She was a devout Christian and a wonderful spiritual leader.

Lisa will perhaps be best remembered for her phenomenal cooking and extravagant dinners. Her meals were always ten times too big, and she refused any help in the kitchen, whether preparing the food or cleaning up afterward. She created meals that would rival those of any fine-dining restaurant. More importantly, she provided the space, atmosphere, and food that brought her family together to enjoy fellowship and love.

This is how Lisa would want her life to be celebrated: through the same fellowship, warmth, and love that she so generously shared with others. Hers was a life marked by immeasurable contributions to her family, her church, and her community. She was a devoted mother and wife, a loving daughter, and a patient friend to the many who loved her deeply.

In addition to her husband, Lisa is survived by her daughters, Abigail Bedson and Jennifer Bedson; her son, Christopher Travis Bedson (Yulia); her mother, Margaret Pfohl Finley of Summerville, South Carolina; and her mother-in-law, Clara Kendall of Smithfield, Pennsylvania.

She is also survived by her five brothers: Tim Pfohl (Kim) of Argyle, Texas; Chris Pfohl (Kathy) of Christiansburg, Virginia; Brian Pfohl (Christine) of Sistersville, West Virginia; Matt Pfohl (Leslie) of Charleston, West Virginia; and Jon Pfohl (Jessica) of Raleigh, North Carolina.

Her surviving grandchildren are Elizabeth Lucy Bedson, Juliette Mila Bedson, Josephina Mary Bedson, Samuel Cashman, and Savannah Cashman.

She is also survived by her nephews, Michael, Mark, Christopher, Tyler, Josh, and Samuel; and her nieces, Natalie, Ashley, Michelle, Paxton, and Christine.

In addition to her father, Cyril Raymond Pfohl, Lisa was preceded in death by Nicholas Pfohl, Ben Pfohl, and Luis Finley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lisa's memory to the Lowcountry Food Bank or the American Cancer Society.
