Linwood C. Grady, 67, of Kiawah Island, SC, husband of Judy Mulholland Grady, entered into eternal rest Saturday, May 25, 2013. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel.
Linwood was born May 7, 1946, in Durham, North Carolina, son of the late Linwood Chester Grady and Ella Dean Brantley Grady. He was a co-owner of Grady Ervin and Company. Linwood attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was a member of the Roper Hospital Foundation Board and diligently worked to raise money for the Roper Cancer Center and the Harper Drolet Foundation at MUSC. Linwood was also a member of the Executive Association of Greater Charleston and a sponsor and active supporter of the Johns Island Boy Scouts.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, of 48 years; two daughters, Marilyn M. Grady and Amy G. Wingfield, both of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Jensen, Sophie and Liza; three brothers, Toby Grady (Susan) of Charlotte, NC, Ruffin Grady (Wanda) of Greensboro, NC and Mack Grady (Susan) of Durham, NC; three nieces and three nephews.
