Linda Duncan Whitley, 77, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, July 4, 2026. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr Inc. West Ashley.

Linda was born April 25, 1949, in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William James Duncan and the late Joan Dougher Duncan. Linda was a long-time resident of St. Petersburg, Florida and returned to Charleston in 2023. Linda enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She also loved being a teacher and sharing her love of history and its impacts with others. After retirement, Linda volunteered as a docent at both the James Museum and the Holocaust Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Britt Whitley- Rusk (James Rusk) of Bellevue, WA and John Duncan Whitley (Kayla Su) of Los Angeles, CA; sister Judy Duncan Peper (Warren Peper) of Charleston, SC; brother William (Bill) Duncan (Tatiana De Angulo) of Greenville, SC and many nieces, nephews and step/great grandchildren.
