Linda Powell Schofield

Linda Powell Schofield, 71, of Johns Island, SC, wife of Joseph Carter Schofield, entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 7, 2014. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7: 00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, August 10, 2014, in Stono Baptist Church, 953 Main Road, Johns Island, at 3:00 pm. The Graveside Service will be held Monday, August 11, 2014, in Happy Home Community Church Cemetery, Ruffin, NC, at 3:00 pm.

Linda was born in Reidsville, North Carolina, daughter of the late Onnie Powell and Claudia Powell. She was an insurance clerk with Palmetto Spine and Sports Medicine and a member of Stono Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joseph Carter Schofield; daughter, Debbie Farthing (Greg), all of Johns Island, SC; two sons, Wayne Schofield (Mella) of Johns Island, SC and Bobby Schofield (Lisa) of Baltimore, MD; two sisters, Opal Keen of Reidsville, NC and Velma Chrismon of Brown Summit, NC; brother, Herman Powell of Ruffin, NC; six grandchildren, Lindsi Schofield, Danielle Ott, Mandy Schofield, Christopher Parham, Dillon Parham and Jesse Schofield; three great-grandchildren, Summer, December and Damien. Linda is preceded in death by son, Joey Schofield.
