Linda Rabens Mizzell

Linda Rabens Mizzell, 78, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Robert V. Mizzell, entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 22, 2021. Her funeral service will be held Monday, July 25, 2021, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkyw., at 1:00 p.m. Entombment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday in the West Ashley Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Linda was born June 6, 1943, in Charleston, South Carolina, the youngest daughter of the late John Henry Rabens and Louise Campbell Rabens. She dearly loved the Holy City and happily spent her entire life here. Linda was a graduate of Rivers High School and played basketball there. She was a retired Purchasing Specialist for the Ralph Johnson VA Hospital having worked there for 35 years. Linda was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church.

Linda loved her animals nearly as much as she loved her family. She loved Nascar and sports. She loved to travel, cruise and see the world but always looked forward to returning home to Charleston.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Mizzell of Charleston, SC; three daughters: Melanie M. Mimms (Bobby) of North Charleston, SC, Tracey M. Weatherford of Summerville, SC and Dawn M. Baldwin (Shawn Brookshire) of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren: Spencer, Brandon, Lindi, Bobby, Thomas, Rachel, Matthew and Shawney; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley R. Soule (Jack) of Warrenton, VA and Joan R. Walker (Howard) of Charleston, SC and brother, John H. Rabens (Becky) of Charleston, SC and her bonus daughter, Marci Grimsley, a blessing from God.
