Obituary
Linda was born in Kinston, NC March 24, 1940 to the late Bessie M. Holt and Brennan Holt. She graduated from B.F Grady High School in Seven Springs/Albertson, NC in 1958. Linda attended and graduated from Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC and UNC-Chapel Hill, N.C with a degree in elementary education. Linda earned her teaching certificate from Old Dominion College, Norfolk, VA in 1968. Linda married Morris Lee Sutton on September 23, 1961.
Linda enjoyed a love for teaching elementary school. She continued her career in new paths venturing successfully into real estate and banking before retiring. Linda loved choir music and was an active member in the Adult Choir of Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Linda is survived by her husband of 63 years, Morris L. Sutton, retired U.S. Naval Supply Corps Officer; children, Dawn (Oscar) Brown and Kevin Sutton ( Amy); grandchildren Ali ( Kyle ) Jungclaus; great granddaughter, Emerson Jungclaus; sister Janice (Ken) Page, sister Phyllis Adams and several nieces.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. The service will be at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church, 302 Hibben St., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Interment will be Friday, June 21st, 2024 at the Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC for the immediate family. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel
