Linda Wolbert Lopanik

Linda Wolbert Lopanik, 64, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Dr. Robert W. Lopanik died Thursday, April 3, 2014, after an almost 5 year battle with cancer. The relatives and friends of Linda Lopanik are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 2:00 PM. Rite of Committal will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Monday, April 7, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.

Linda was born November 4, 1949 in Orlando, Florida, daughter of the late James Francis Wolbert and the late Hazel Holder Wolbert. She moved to Charleston in 1979 and married in 1981. Linda worked as an Office Manager and Coding Specialist for Charleston Eye and Charleston E.N.T. She was involved in the South Carolina Optometric Association Auxiliary and served as President in 1982. Linda enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, and playing with her 5 grandchildren. Her deep affection for animals was reflected in the way she doted on their boykin spaniels and cats. In addition, she enjoyed sailing, reading, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert W. Lopanik of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a son, Donald Walter Ingram of Summerville, SC; two daughters, Nicole Beth Lopanik, Ph.D. of Atlanta, GA and Lindsey Anne Literati of Savannah, GA; two granddaughters, Mary and Camille; and three grandsons, Michael, Chase, and Zachary; five sisters, Sherry Zielonka (Bill), Pat Galindo (Jamine), Fran Whyte (Winslow), Diane Deck (Norman) and Kathy Stome (Mike), all of Lake County, Florida; two brothers, James Wolbert (MaryLinda) and Larry Wolbert (Lil) of Lake County, Florida and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel Wolbert and James Francis Wolbert and a sister, Elizabeth Wolbert.
