Linda was born on May 19, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Rosebud Pearl Krawitz Barry and the late Daniel Barry. She was very involved with the RCIA program of Christ Our King Catholic Church for which she cross-stitched the "Our Father" for participants and candidates. Linda was the quintessential baseball mom and grandmother, and was deeply dedicated to her children, volunteering for their programs at Stella Maris School, and Bishop England High School, where she was affectionately known as "The Hot Dog Lady." She loved cross-stitching, ceramic painting, was a tenacious "Words With Friends" player, a dominos champion, "Catch Phrase" player, and looked forward to her marathon Saturday morning phone calls with her cousin, Kate. Linda was known for her desserts, which were considered unforgettable. She looked forward to her monthly meetings with her Monday Morning Girls. Linda loved anything to do with flowers and plants. She loved the holidays, time with her family, and cherished being "Mimi" to her grandson, Alex.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Robert Klomparens of Mt. Pleasant, SC; mother, Rosebud Barry of Olympia Fields, IL; three children, Kristin Partin and her husband, Eric, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Rob Klomparens and his wife, Whitney, of Mt. A special thanks to all the wonderful caregivers of the 3rd and 5th floor CVICU at Roper Hospital who so wonderfully cared for our wife, mother, and grandmother, Linda, over the last few months. Also, the Klomparens family would like to extend a very special thanks to Mom's rheumatologist Dr. Alan Nussbaum and his amazing staff for the past 26 years.
