Linda Dougherty Ketree

Linda Dougherty Ketree, 71, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Alexander "Alex" Ketree entered into eternal rest Friday, August 23, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 26, 2013 in Pinecrest Baptist Church, 1285 Ashley Hall Road at 2:00 pm. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm and at Pinecrest Baptist Church, Monday from 1:00 pm until time of service.

Linda was born April 6, 1942 in Orangeburg, South Carolina, daughter of the late James R. Dougherty and Pattie Smoak Dougherty. She was a retired Property Manager for Roper Hospital and a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. Linda loved her family and wanted everyone to know how important family was to her. As her children grew up, their friends became like her children. She enjoyed shopping with her daughter at Belk, and spending her days on Folly Beach.

She is survived by her husband, Alex Ketree; daughter, Karen S. Laskowski (Larry) of Charleston, SC; son, Kenneth R. Walter (Elizabeth) of Spartanburg, SC; step-daughter, Andrea K. Bailey (Kyle) of Ravenel, SC; brother, R. Ligon Dougherty (Ann) of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Sarah P. Laskowski (Frank), Lawren L. Sprout (D.J.), Lindsey D. Walter, W. Reese Walter, and W. Hunter Bailey; great-grandson, Rylan J. Laidlaw; and a niece, Peggy D. Williams (Bryan) and children, Garrett, Summer, Caroline, and Amber. She was preceded in death by her nephew, R. Scott Dougherty.
