Linda Westerberg Jenkins, 57, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, wife of Walter T. Jenkins III, died July 25, 2014. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 3pm. Linda was born January 5, 1957 in Heidelberg, Germany, the daughter of the late Sven James Westerberg and Ilse Ansorge Westerberg. She moved with her family to East Orange, NJ as an infant and then to Mt. Pleasant in 1964. She attended Mt. Pleasant Academy, Moultrie Middle and graduated from Wando High School in 1975. As a track athlete in high school she was a gold medalist in the South Carolina Junior Olympics, running the mile. She enjoyed fishing with her late father, water skiing with her friends and relaxing at the beach with both friends and family. Her work career included time at East Cooper Family Practice, MUSC, Lucky Boy Films, First Baptist Church School (where she loved her 3K class, "Jenkins' Gems"), and later at Franke Home. When she wasn't working, she was a stay at home mom for her two daughters. She was predeceased by her father, Sven Westerberg. She is survived by her mother, Ilse, her husband, Walter, her two beautiful daughters, Charlotte Ann and Alexandra Nicole, her Aunt Marjorie Westerberg, cousins Karen Bronson (Dick), Ann Sage (Gene), all of Waxhaw, NC, and her Aunt Inga Tuerpe (the late Eric) of Vero Beach, FL. The family will receive friends at home, 48 Vincent Drive, Mt. Pleasant, on Saturday July 26, from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 604 Pitt Street, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
