Linda Carol Porter Jarvis, 77, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of William A. Jarvis, "Bill", entered into eternal rest Wednesday, August 7, 2019. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 22, 2019 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 23, 2019 in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Linda was born May 17, 1942 in Charleston, West Virginia, daughter of the late Guy Porter and Pauline Childers Porter. She was a graduate of Gauley Bridge High School. She was a retired office manager of 45 years with Prudential Insurance Company. Linda and Bill were avid travelers and were particularly fond of the mountains and Pigeon Forge. She was an active member of 5th Avenue Church of God, South Charleston, West Virginia.

She is survived by her son, William "Dale" Jarvis (Stephanie Duc), her grandsons, William Kyle Jarvis and Wesley Ryan Jarvis and many friends and extended family.
