Linda Dryden

Linda Atwood Dryden, 76, of Charleston, South Carolina entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 31, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, September 17, 2017 in The Chapel at Bishop Gadsden, 1 Bishop Gadsden Way at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Linda was born October 24, 1940 in New York, New York, daughter of the late John Dryden and Sally Atwood Dryden. She grew up in New York and Watch Hill, RI. Linda lived at various times in Bremen, Germany; Washington, DC; Belmont, MA; Cairo, Egypt; Southampton, NY; and, for her last 20 years, Charleston. Linda loved to explore the world, and did so as often as she could.

Linda also loved her family. She is survived by three children: Elizabeth Carney, Jay Carney, and Bruce Carney; six grandchildren: Shannon, Taylor, Hugo, Della, Declan and Alana; and a great-granddaughter, Charlotte.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary of Hollywood, SC.
