Linda Lee Colvin Dowling, 78, of Johns Island, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Her memorial service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel at 2:00 pm, and the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior.

Linda was born March 28, 1945 in Hartsville, South Carolina, daughter of the late Robert E. Colvin and Loomis Chestnut Colvin. She loved NASCAR, Clemson football, old westerns, lighthouses, the beach, and baking with her grandchildren. For many years, she was a field director for the Miss South Carolina Beauty Pageant.

She is survived by her son, John E. Arnold (Maura) of Darlington, SC; daughter, Theresa Arnold Brown of Charleston, SC; brother, Michael O. Colvin of FL; sister, Luanne Snipes of Bonneau, NC; grandchildren, Brittany Lynn Brown, Samantha Nicole Arnold (Harvey), Katelyn Windham (Clay), Ansley Harrell (Austin), Micheal Zachary Brown, and Joshua Arnold; great-grandchildren, John Albert von Lehe IV and Sylar Abel Funk. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Colvin Jr.; sister, Elizabeth J. West; granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Funk; and great-grandson, Ethan Elijah Funk.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Linda's memory to the Susan G. Koleman Cancer Society.
