She is re-united in peace with her parents, Roger and Betty Kitchen and beloved grandmother Beatrice Fowler, who are at rest in her hometown of Catlettsburg, KY.

Linda's presence and unconditional love for her family and friends will continue to guide and give comfort to all who knew her. She was a strong adventurous mother of four children, all born in different states. Giving birth to her youngest child in California while her husband was transiting the South China Sea on a seven month deployment to the Middle East. Family, gardening, sewing, and crafting, decorating her home for every occasion, the science of cooking and music filled her days. A gracious host, she coordinated many holiday meals, Friday night karaoke parties and weddings for family and close friends. Linda was also a dedicated member of the North Charleston United Methodist Church Chancel Choir.

Her husband Mike and children; Kimberly Huttner (Christopher Huttner), Jennifer Barnette (Joseph Barnette), Matthew Christy (Shannae Brazzle) and Jessica Schleppegrell (Baker Schleppegrell) continue in the warmth of her love along with grandchildren Joseph, Jenna and Jillian Barnette; Aiden Eckles, Taylor and Maggie Feller, and Jonah, Valery and Luke Huttner. Spending time, talking, reading to and playing games with her children and grandchildren were the greatest pleasures in her life. She is also survived by her sister, Sandy Poynter residing in Chattooga, TN with her husband Brent and their son Ryan of Hawaii. She loved traveling and vacationing with her sister. Sandy, along with all the children brought great joy to Linda and were unwavering in their devotion and care giving.
