Lillie Loraine "Lo" Bolton Arnold, 76, of Goose Creek, SC, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2015. Her funeral service will be held Sunday, March 15, 2015 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 5:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service (4:00 pm).
Lo was born the fifth of seven children to the late Walter William Willman and the late Ida Lester Willman on January 31, 1939 in Millersview, Texas. She was a former bookkeeper and night auditor with Holiday Inn and also worked as an administrative assistant at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Lo was an avid pool player and member of a pool league. She was a member of Dorway Baptist Church. She enjoyed travelling. During her husband's time in the US Navy, they resided in Texas, Florida, Illinois, Connecticut, Panama City, Panama, among other places. The things she most enjoyed were spending time with her family, shooting pool, bowling, going to the beach, family holidays (where she made a mean chocolate pie), and she was a writer of poetry. She was a self-made woman who knew exactly what she wanted to do and who she wanted to be with in life. Her final days were spent among family and friends in the comfort of her own home. She raised four children who are as determined to live life to the fullest, just as she did.
She is survived by daughter, Dana Bolton Jacobs (Tom) of Indianapolis, IN; three sons, Michael D. Bolton (Amo) and Richie Bolton (Terri) all of Goose Creek, SC, and Chuck Bolton (Malissa) of Moncks Corner, SC; step daughter, Karen Arnold Fishman (Billy) of Stanford, CT; three step sons, Dirk Rash of Huntington, CA, Dan Rash (Cheryl) and Dennis Rash (Jan) all of Goose Creek, SC; two sisters, Della Bishop of Goose Creek, SC, and Dolly Woodard of Big Spring, TX; one brother, Jimmy Bolton of OK; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and her loving canine companion, Baby Girl. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Chief Charles Eugene Bolton, USN Ret. and Chief Albert Edward Arnold, USN Ret.
The family wishes to thank Pruit Health, especially her caregivers; Marc Lucas, Jirlie Presley and Chaplain Janice Meyer.
Memorials/donations may be made in her honor to Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.
