Lillian Kluge Salvo

Lillian Kluge Salvo, 88, of Charleston, SC, widow of Karl Eugene Salvo, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 20, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at St. Mathew's Lutheran Church, at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 25, 2024, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Private burial will be at Bethany Cemetery.

Lillian was born April 2, 1936, in Buffalo, New York, daughter of the late Ralph Henry Kluge, Sr. and the late Willie Faust Kluge MacNeal. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church and retired from the Post and Courier. She was very dedicated to her church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. 

She is survived by her daughters, Reverend Karen Salvo Hawkins (Robert) of Columbia, SC, Lisa Salvo DeHaven (Roy) of Charleston, SC, Karla Salvo Hartin (Bobby), of Charleston, SC.; her grandsons, Karl Franklin DeHaven (Miranda) and Thomas Arthur DeHaven (Abby); her great grandchildren, Hampton Eugene DeHaven and Katherine Finley DeHaven; her brothers, Lawrence Frank Kluge (Molly) and Ralph Henry Kluge, Jr (Myrl).

She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Kluge Parnell and Richard R. Parnell.

We also want to express our gratitude and thanks to the many care team members from her assisted living facility where she lived the last several years.
