Lillian Marie "Tootsie" Kornahrens Gibson

Lillian Marie "Tootsie" Kornahrens Gibson, 85, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Albert A. Gibson passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, June 20, 2014 in the Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road.
Tootsie was born October 6, 1928 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late John Jacob Kornahrens and Ruth Ann Barrineau Kornahrens. She was a retired Bookkeeper. She was a member of Isle of Palms Baptist Church, and had been a longtime member of Pittman Street Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of Woman's Christian Association.
She is survived by her son, Albert A. Gibson, Jr. and his wife, Deloris of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three grandchildren, Crystal Jewell and her husband, Brandon, Cathy Fuller and her husband, Joshua, and Clayton Gibson; five great-grandchildren, Dylan Jewell, Logan Jewell, Noah Fuller, Lucas Fuller, and Finley Fuller; and many nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her very special companion, her beloved Yorkie, Sissy. Tootsie was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Robert Kornahrens, John H. Kornahrens, Jerry Kornahrens, Jack Kornahrens, Louis Kornahrens, Mary White, and Helen Lupton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harbor Montessori School, c/o Isle of Palms Baptist Church, P.O. Box 118, Isle of Palms, SC 29451.
