Lillian Seaton Loomis

Lillian Seaton Loomis, 88, of Charleston, entered eternal rest on November 2, 2022. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her beloved family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11 am on Monday, November 21 in the J. Henry Stuhr West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC 29414. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.
 
Lillian was born in the town of Sharon Springs, Kansas, to Leonard John Seaton and Amanda Jane (Thomas) Seaton on July 3, 1934. She married Will G. Loomis of Detroit, Michigan on May 27, 1960. In 1966, they moved to Charleston, where they raised three daughters. She was a faithful, devoted and long-time member of Essex Village Church of Christ. 
 
Lillian was preceded in death by Will, her devoted husband of 49 years, her parents, her brothers, Howard, John, Robert, Edward, and sisters, Margaret, Irma, Eva and Ruth. 
 
She is survived by her three daughters, Annie Loomis (husband Marvin Woudwyk Sr.) of Charleston, Anita Kuhn (husband Brad Kuhn) of Mount Pleasant, and Amy Sousa (husband Greg Sousa) of La Selva Beach, California; her grandchildren, Dr. Brittany Cook (husband Dr. Preston Cook) of Edmond, Oklahoma, Brandon Cain of Concord, North Carolina and Bryson Kuhn of Mount Pleasant; great grandson Hudson Cook; nephews Larry Forshey (wife Sharon Forshey) of Albany, Georgia and Dennis Forshey of Cathedral City, California, many other nieces and nephews, brother-in-law James R. Loomis of Traverse City, Michigan, and former son-in-law David Cain of Goldsboro, North Carolina.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Ronald McDonald House or any charity of your choice.
 
The family also wants to extend its sincerest appreciation for the caring, compassionate hospice professionals associated with Roper St. Francis.
