Lillian Simmons Johnson, 92, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Troy Daniel Johnson entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 in St. Andrews Parish United Methodist Church, 3225 Ashley River Road at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends in the Church one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.
Lillian was born April 8, 1923 in Robeson County, NC, daughter of the late Emerson Berry Simmons and Leaty Lewis Simmons. She was a homemaker. Lillian was a member of St. Andrews Parish United Methodist Church and also a member of Order of Eastern Star, Charleston Chapter #56.
She is survived by her four sons, William "Bill" D. Johnson (Dianne) of James Island, SC, Nicholas "Nick" Johnson (Karen) of Richmond Hill, GA, Jimmy Johnson (Dana) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Ricky Johnson (Becky) of Charleston, SC; four daughters, Barbara Hill of Milltown, NJ, Lillian "Tutti" Beasley (John) of Charleston, SC, Kathy Biggers of Jacksonville, FL, and Wendy Baker of Legrande, OR; 20 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Berry D. Johnson.
