Lillian Dalma Hunter, 90, of Ladson, South Carolina, widow of Walter Boyd Hunter, Jr. entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Northwoods Chapel.
Lillian was born August 16, 1927 in Whitmire, SC, one of seven children of the late Lit James King and the late Laura Mae Lackey King. She graduated Whitmire High School, class of 1945. She loved children, both working and volunteering with nurseries and Girl Scouts.Lillian was a faithful servant of the Lord. She was an active member of the Wesleyan Church until transferring her membership to the Nazarene Church and was a member of the Summerville Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by two daughters: Barbara "Bobbie" Hunter Rushmeyer (Dale) and Laura Hunter Wooldridge (Chris); five grandchildren: Dena Hill Johns (Aaron), Jason Hill (Melissa), Michele Davis (Tommy), William Wooldridge (Cassie), and James Wooldridge; five great-granddaughters: Brittany Hill (Shanna), Jennifer Jacobs, Amanda Hill, Tiffany Hill, Rachel Davis; great-great-grandson, Grayson Gause; and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dalma "Joyce" Hunter Stewart.
