Lila Mullinax Watters, age 94, passed away peacefully December 6, 2021 in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Please join us in celebrating Lila's life, Wednesday, December 15, 2021, in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am.

Lila was born June 4, 1927 in Charleston, SC to Chalmas and Ellen Mullinax. She was married to Ottis Watters, who proceeded her in death in 2012. After many years in West Ashley, Lila moved to Sand Piper Independent Living in Mt. Pleasant. She was very happy there, and enjoyed the residents, the entertainment, bingo and bridge games. Several years later, she moved to The Palms.

Lila is survived by her daughter, Linda Maxcey Myers and her son-in-law, Jim Myers. Lila is also survived by her brother, Carl Mullinax; three grandchildren, Sherri Myers Breitner, (Brad), Stacey Garry (Sean), Jamie Myers (Jennifer); and seven great grandchildren, Cooper & Jackson McNatt, Tommy & Shannon Garry, Tyler, Travis & Jake Myers. Lila was blessed to have many loving nieces and nephews, Beverly, Chuck, Pam, Rusty, Maxine(Doug), Rip (Janice), Dean (Mary Anna), Brian (Zuhal), Giggy(Linda), Michael (Linda), & Saron(Kenny). She was preceded in death by her brothers: Chalmas Mullinax Jr., Wilson Mullinax, Curt Mullinax, her sister Mary Rumph and her niece, Mahlon Rumph.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service; after which, please join us graveside at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Rd., Charleston, SC.
