Lila Lee Pittman Moore, 87, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, graciously accepted a new "gig" on December 7, 2016 performing with and accompanying God's heavenly choir. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
Lila was born October 6, 1929 in Henry County, Ohio, daughter of the late Glenn Charles Pittman and the late Leona Nichols Pittman. For 60 years Lila played piano and sang professionally, sharing her awesome talents with others throughout Ohio, Florida, California and South Carolina. For 30 years, she performed five nights a week at the Veranda Restaurant in Fort Myers, Florida. Upon retiring and moving to Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Lila volunteered at the Palms Retirement Center bringing musical memories to residents during "Happy Hour". She was loved by family and friends, who will deeply miss her.
She is survived by children, Jill Smith Brandstedt (Bjorn), Michelle Smith Marson (Michael) and Morgan Smith; and six grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Shirley Pittman Benedict, Donn Pittman (Fran) and Colleen Pittman Brosnan. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph I. Smith and Max M. Moore.
