Lila Kay Fairey, 78, of Goose Creek, SC, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 5, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am with Nurses Honor Guard.  Interment to follow at Sardis Cemetery, Branchville, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. 

Lila was born March 21, 1945 in Orangeburg, SC, daughter of the late William Eugene Fairey and the late Marie Louise Inabinet Fairey.  She was a graduate of Baptist College and a registered nurse.  She started working for Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in January of 1999 and also worked at the Charleston Naval Shipyard.  She was a member of Harbour Lake Baptist Church.  Lila enjoyed traveling, reading, going out to dinner with her friends and also enjoyed her cats.  She was fun-loving and very active.
 
She is survived by four cousins: Ann Reeves, Carol Strickland Winn, Tommy Fairey, and Julie Wardlaw;  friends and caregivers: Susan Still; Donovan Mitchum and Donna Mitchum.
