Lila S. Easterlin, 87, of Lady Lake, Florida, widow of Mac R. Easterlin entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 1, 2013. Her Graveside Service will be held Friday, December 13, 2013 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
Lila was born February 19, 1926 in Chatham, North Carolina. She graduated from Bennett High School and went to Business College. She was a Secretary for Western Union in Greensboro, NC. Later years, they moved to Charleston SC, where they opened a business called Port City Paper Company that operated for thirty years. Mac and Lila worked together with Mac as Manager and Lila as the Bookkeeper. She also worked at Dillard Paper Company. She was a devoted wife and mother and married on July 17, 1948 for thirty two years. Mac passed away in 1980, Lila kept the business and eventually sold it in 1991 and retired to The Villages in Lady Lake, FL.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan E. Wagenbrenner (Charles) of Charleston, SC; son, Barrett Ray Easterlin (Melanie) of Boone, NC; two grandchildren, Craig Torella and Michael Easterlin. She is predeceased by her grandson, Christopher Torella.
