Lieselotte Ingeborg Horne, 91, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, former long time resident of Norfolk, Virginia and widow of the late James Hulon Horne passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. All services will be private. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Inge was born December 23, 1927 in Leipzig, Germany, one of three children of the late Albert Richard Schröeder and the late Margaret Dora Methfessel Schröeder. She escaped from East Germany, immigrated to the United States and became a citizen in 1966. She met and married James Hulon Horne and they were married for 51 years. Inge owned and operated Rubing Flower Shop in Norfolk, Virginia before moving closer to family in Mount Pleasant in July 2014. She and her husband enjoyed square dancing. Inge cherished her dogs and enjoyed raising standard poodles.
She is survived by niece, Carol Buckhannon (Thomas Eli Buckhannon III) of Mount Pleasant, SC; two nephews, Robert E. Horne of Hanahan, SC and William J. Horne (Jeanne) of Charleston, SC.
