Lida left us today to be eternally with the love of her life, Connie. She was born June 10, 1927, daughter of the late Ekky Sexton Guerry and Etta Shaw Guerry and grew up in Jamestown, S.C. Lida went peacefully with her loved ones around her. Mom, or Memom, as she is affectionately known, has left us with many fond memories and a close and strong family unit to continue on.
She is survived by two sons, Rembert Butler Jr. and wife Sandra of James Island, SC and Donald Butler and wife Selena of Disputanta, VA; one daughter, Debby Chamberlin and husband Craig of Jacksonville, NC. She was also blessed to have in her life a very special niece, Sybil Noll and her husband Howard. She also had many loving grandchildren who gave her nine awesome and cherished great grandchildren, Kimberly Cudahy and husband Patrick and their children Saane Lida and Kieran. Skip Chamberlin and his daughter Lizzie. Dawn Blair and husband Todd and their children Katlyn and Amelia. Wayne Butler and his wife Elizabeth and son Grey. Lida Madison Ward and her husband Jonathan. Brittany Butler, Laurie Butler, Christy Daou and her husband JD and their children Isabella, Alyse, and Blake. Mom lived her life to do for others and always was so happy and full of love. She loved shopping, driving her car, planting flowers, rocking on her porch and cooking for others. We will carry her in our hearts forever.
