Lewis S. Weingarten, 82, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, widower of Joann Sunshine Weingarten entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 9, 2023. His funeral service will be held graveside Sunday, February 12, 2023 in Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery (Maryville), Sycamore Avenue at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Lewis was born May 5, 1940 in Lansing, Michigan, son of the late Lawrence B. Weingarten, Sr. and Mary Nachman Weingarten, Sr. He served in the U.S. Air Force for twenty years and retired as a Captain. Lewis also worked in the Army Defense Accounting Office and retired after thirty years.

Lewis is survived by his son, Adam Weingarten of Hamton, VA; daughter, Kim Weingarten of Fayetteville, NC; and two grandchildren: Noah and Donovan Weingarten.
