Lewis Jame Phelps

Lewis James Phelps, 94, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of the late Marguerite Mary Flanagan Phelps died Wednesday, July 30, 2014. The relatives and friends of Lewis Phelps are invited to attend his Funeral Service at the graveside on Friday, August 8, 2014 in Calvary-St. Patrick Cemetery, 501 Fairview Street, Johnson City, NY at 12:00 Noon. Arrangements by William R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, Binghamton, NY.

Lewis was born May 25, 1920 in Binghamton, New York, son of the late Lewis O. Phelps and Jessie Arnold Phelps. He was a retired Manufacturing Manager.

He is survived by three sons, Brian C. (Pam) Phelps of Orange Park, FL, Stephen J. Phelps of Mooresville, NC, and William L. (Linda) Phelps of St. Augustine, FL; daughter, Karen (Bruce) Thompson of Mount Pleasant, SC; eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
a daughter, Mary Margaret Phelps.
