Lester Lee Allred Jr., 86, passed away at his home at Franke at Seaside in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina on July 27, 2024.
Lester, “Les”, was born August 9, 1937 to the late Lester Lee Allred and Ruby House Allred of Rome, Georgia. He graduated from North Georgia Military College in 1959.
Les married Brenda Lou Loyd in 1960. They celebrated 64 years of marriage this year. Les and Brenda spent their summers at their family beach house on Isle of Palms, SC where almost every day, you could see Les fishing near the 5th Avenue beach access. He also loved to play tennis and he was a very good bowler. As much as Les loved many sports activities, his favorite pastime was spending time with his wife.
After retirement, they moved to South Carolina and lived on Isle of Palms. They moved to Franke at Seaside 20 years ago.
Les was a member of Church of the Holy Cross Episcopal Church on Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina where he served many years as lay person and volunteer at the church offices. He also volunteered at Meals on Wheels for 20 years.
