Leslie Edward Williams, Jr., of Walterboro, SC entered into eternal life on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the age of 74. He died at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 7, 1941 in Charleston, SC to the late Leslie Edward Williams and Hazel Blocker Williams. He was part of a large and loving Christian family with eight uncles, seven aunts and many first cousins. His family has always stayed close throughout their lives, and the stories they told about growing up in Charleston during the 50's and 60's made it sound like a time no one would want to miss. Edward and Margie met and fell in love at first sight. They were joined in Holy Matrimony and blessed with three children. The home Edward provided was priceless. His gift of love and values he instilled in his family will never be forgotten. They were devoted to each other and married for 44 years. A faithful parishioner of St. Jude's Episcopal Church in Walterboro, SC, Edward served several terms on the Vestry and also as Junior Warden. His ministry was in cooking breakfast and dinners in the kitchen at St. Jude's, biscuits being his specialty! He had a strong faith and his life was a testament to the love of Jesus Christ. Edward was a graduate of Murray Vocational High School in Charleston and attended Clemson University. He was a Real Estate Appraiser, doing business in the Walterboro area with his daughter, Liza Catterton. Edward has gone Home. The funeral services for Leslie Edward Williams, Jr. will be held Friday, August 7, 2015 at St. Jude's Church in Walterboro, SC at 2:00 p.m. Following the service, burial will be held in the cemetery at St. John's Church, 3673 Maybank Highway, Johns Island, SC. The family will receive friends at St. Jude's Church, 907 Wichman Street, Walterboro, SC on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Church, 907 Wichman Street, Walterboro, SC 29488.Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Marguerite Jenkins Williams; children, Allen Daniel Williams, Randall Fraser Williams, Marguerite Eliza Catterton (Louie); two grandsons, Grayson Julian Catterton and Walker Bailey Catterton, who he loved very much!
